Bread & butter Pickles

12 medium cukes

6 small onions

2 medium peppers

1/2 cup salt

 

Slive above very thin & let stand for about 4 hours, packed in ice.

 

5 cups white vinegar

1 tsp. mustard seeds

1/2 teas. cloves

1 teas. celery seeds

1 1/2 teas. tumeric

 

Let vinegar mixture come to a boil 5 min.  drain cucumbers & add to vinegar mixture.  Cook slowley for 20 min. Put in sterilized jars and seal.  (Aunt Camille)
